2026 Annual Poster Contest

The District of Columbia Academy of Family Physicians (DCAFP) is excited to announce its 2nd Annual Poster Contest for Medical Students and Residents!
This is a fantastic opportunity for trainees to showcase their research, clinical insights, or advocacy work focused on family medicine or primary care. We welcome submissions of:

• Original research
• Case reports
• Quality improvement projects
• Evidence-based reviews
• Health policy analyses

Deadline to apply: Friday October 2, 2026 at 11:59 PM

Structured abstracts (max 300 words) must be submitted online through this application form. Finalists will be selected to present at the DCAFP Annual Meeting on November 9, 2026, and 1 medical student and 1 resident winner will each receive a monetary prize! This is a great way to get recognized, network with family physicians, and strengthen your CV!

Key Dates:

• Abstract deadline: Oct 2
• Finalists notified: Oct 20
• Poster presentations: Nov 9

Eligibility:

• Medical students or family medicine residents in Washington, DC
• AAFP Membership (easy free sign-up for students!)
